Welcome to the website that showcases Les Deux Chataigniers, our beautiful Charentaise bastide. It is a single property with an East and West wing, furnished in a simple contemporary style, sleeping 8 - 22 persons. Set in our own vineyard the following pages will give you a taste of our property.

Les Deux Chataigniers is set within our own vineyard in the Charente Maritime and is the perfect accommodation if you are looking for a family holiday set within beautiful French countryside. Situated a short drive from the many beaches of the Gironde estuary and just 3 minutes drive from the nearest boulangerie, our gite is the perfect family vacation. Its location offers the option of a quiet relaxing retreat for all the family, a fun-packed beach holiday, a wealth of local history and culture including medieval churches and cognac and wine distilleries, or a combination of all three. Check out our Local Info page.

Les Deux Chataigniers is separated into two wings - the East Wing and the West Wing. Each wing accommodates up to 11 people and you can rent one, or both wings (with a maximum of 22 people accomodated in both wings).

Set in private enclosed grounds, the house has a fantastic swimming pool with views onto our vines. The property is surrounded by beautiful fields of sunflowers, maize and wheat, and provides the ideal location for a quiet summer walk or bike ride.
